Amelia "Milly" Burnett

Pre-Squad Coach

Milly has been part of the Yarra community since she was just six months old. Although she wasn’t initially a fan of the water, she rediscovered swimming at age five and quickly fell in love with the sport. She later joined Yarra Plenty Waves Swimming Club, continuing her swimming journey through to the end of secondary school.

Having grown up at Yarra, Milly developed a passion for teaching and coaching. She teaches swimmers of all ages and abilities through the learn to swim program and now focuses on coaching Future Waves, Yarra’s pre squad program. She enjoys helping swimmers build their skills, confidence and technique as they progress from learn to swim towards joining squad.

Milly loves being part of the Yarra community and sharing her passion for swimming with the next generation of swimmers. Her own journey at Yarra gives her a special connection to the program and the swimmers she helps develop.
