How to become a Sponsor

Offering a range of sponsorship options

Some of the benefits of a sponsorship agreement with Yarra Plenty Waves are:

  • Increase awareness of your company's products and services. Each sponsorship package has benefits for the sponsor built in: signage, website advertising, company name on uniforms, etc. Through a sponsorship, a company's brand will be seen by parents, coaches, event organisers, athletes and spectators.

  • A welcomed form of advertising. Our sponsorships are a positive and engaging way to market your brand. Parents like to see the businesses that are supporting their local clubs.

  • Help keep the cost of programs down. Squad fees cover the majority of the costs of our program, but support from sponsors provides additional resources which can help keep fees down. With manageable fees, more families are able to afford to sign up and that means more young athletes being able to receive the many benefits of competitive swimming.

  • Outstanding value for the dollars invested. Although sponsorship package costs vary, they range from $100 up to $5,000 or more. When comparing the cost of other marketing outlets like print, television and billboard advertising, club sponsorships can be a great value and a smart option to include into the marketing mix.

  • Just a few hundred dollars from a local business to our club goes a long way. But what you may find is that your sponsorship also goes a long way to strengthen the bond between your brand and community.

The Yarra River, from which our club is named, is known as Birrarung, meaning River of Mists in the language of Woiwurrung spoken by the Wurundjeri.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of this land. We respect their unique ability to care for the country and their deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders Past and present, who have resided in the area and who are an integral part of the region's history.
