Meet Our Coaches

At the heart of our program lies a passionate and dedicated coaching team, led by the experienced Head Coach Alex Hirschauer. We're all here to work hand-in-hand with you, helping you transform your aspirations into achievable goals and unlock your full potential.

Our Committee

Our club thrives thanks to the dedication of a committed committee who generously donate their time to support our swimmers and the wider club community. They're ably assisted by a fantastic team of volunteers who step up whenever needed. The committee convenes monthly, with additional meetings held as necessary to ensure seamless operations.

Our unwavering mission: to instill a lifelong love of swimming and foster a program of excellence across multiple dimensions. We strive to provide exceptional training, build a strong sense of team unity, nurture positive character development, and offer unwavering family support.

Open Communication is Key: Feel free to approach any committee member directly with your thoughts, questions, or suggestions.

The Yarra River, from which our club is named, is known as Birrarung, meaning River of Mists in the language of Woiwurrung spoken by the Wurundjeri.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of this land. We respect their unique ability to care for the country and their deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders Past and present, who have resided in the area and who are an integral part of the region's history.
