Max Bovalino

Assistant Coach

Max has been swimming at Yarra Plenty for over 10 years and has been involved with the club from a young age. Max has competed at multiple state championship events in Breaststroke and Butterfly, and has more than half a decade of experience swimming in competitions all across Victoria. Max is also an active On-Deck supervisor and Swim Teacher with the Swim School. He believes that coaching is a great way for him to continue his involvement with Yarra Plenty!

Max has a strong passion for coaching swimmers through their first competitions and meets. He believes that combining good technique with speed is the best way to improve in the water (while also having fun!) Max also trains in the Masters Squad, with the goal of one day returning to competitive swimming himself. Outside of the water, Max can be found studying Urban Planning at RMIT University.

Max is a great believer in celebrating success and aims to get the best out of swimmers of all abilities!
