Hannah Chan

Development Squad

Hannah’s love and passion for junior and development coaching stem from her own extensive swimming background. Having competed at her first Victorian Age Championships at the age of nine, Hannah has gone on to compete at Age Nationals and earned several state medals. She thrives on working with young swimmers, and is passionate about helping them transition smoothly from learn-to-swim programs to competitive environments. Dedicated to promoting discipline, skill, and confidence, Hannah is passionate about guiding each swimmer to reach their full potential while sharing her favourite tips and tricks to inspire their love for the sport. As a current law student, Hannah spends much of her spare time reading or writing, and she enjoys practicing Pilates, yoga, and, of course, swimming.

The Yarra River, from which our club is named, is known as Birrarung, meaning River of Mists in the language of Woiwurrung spoken by the Wurundjeri.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of this land. We respect their unique ability to care for the country and their deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders Past and present, who have resided in the area and who are an integral part of the region's history.
